Great Year Gets Beniniger L2 Outstanding Batter Award

Mabon Beniniger, the talented Washington first baseman, certainly made his name known among League 2 hurlers this season. He hammered them for 193 hits, 43 doubles, 4 triples, 27 home runs, 93 RBIs and scored 98 times. That kind of output made him the choice for League 2 Outstanding Batter Award for 2025.

He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 16. Brandon Duke of the St. James Crusaders finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Harry Miele of the Richmond Slam finished third.

The manager of the Dayton Grizzlies said he thinks Zacarías Marquis is only going to get better as he gets older.

He may only be 25, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2025 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the League 1 Outstanding Batter Award.

His winning campaign featured a .333 batting average and a .409 on-base percentage this year. In 156 games he piled up 203 hits, 45 doubles, 10 triples, 16 home runs, 70 RBIs and 112 runs scored.

He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Grayson Currall of the Brooklyn Knights finished second in voting, while Andrew Dickens of the Cornfield Axemen finished third.

The League 2 announced today that Renato Balcazar has been chosen the Outstanding Pitcher Award winner for 2025. The Stade starter had everything working for him this past season as he breezed to a 14-7 record.

In his award-winning season Balcazar crafted a 2.08 ERA in 186.1 innings with 144 strikeouts and 50 walks. Opposing batters hit .206 against him in his 32 starts.

He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 16. Rey Alvarado of the Vancouver Wild finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Yusuf O'Croly of the Stade Maples finished third.
